Issue with Parent-Child Blueprint Deployment in Smartsheet Control Center

Hello Smartsheet Community,

I am currently configuring parent-child blueprints using Smartsheet Control Center (SCC) in a multi-workspace setup, and I'm encountering an issue with the child blueprint not being deployed correctly after approval in the Project Intake Sheet.

Current Workspace and Blueprint Configuration:

I have the following workspaces and blueprints set up:

1. Admin Workspace:
   • Contains the Program Blueprint and Project Blueprint (parent and child blueprints respectively).
2. Intake Workspace:
   • Program Intake Sheet: This sheet contains a column called Approval Status, and once the value in this column is set to "Approved", the Program Blueprint is triggered, and the parent program workspace is successfully deployed via SCC. No issues with this.
   • Project Intake Sheet: This sheet contains a column called Approval Status, and once the value in this column is set to "Approved", I have configured SCC to automatically deploy the child project blueprint.
3. Program Workspace:
   • This workspace holds all approved programs and their associated projects. The Program Blueprint ensures that projects under each program are auto-deployed based on the parent-child relationship.

Issue Encountered:

• In the Project Intake Sheet, I have a column called Program URL, which holds the provisioned URL of the corresponding Program Workspace.
• In the child blueprint configuration (for deploying the Project Workspace), I have mapped the Program URL column from the Project Intake Sheet to the "Parent Project Selection column" in the child blueprint configuration.
• The expectation is that once the Project Intake Sheet is marked as approved, SCC should deploy the child blueprint into the correct Program Workspace (parent-child relationship).

However, the child blueprint is not being deployed as expected. I am unsure if I’ve missed a configuration step in SCC or if there’s something specific that’s preventing the proper linkage between the parent program and the child project.

Steps I’ve Taken:

1. Program Blueprint is correctly deployed when Approval Status is marked as "Approved" in the Program Intake Sheet.
2. Child Blueprint is correctly mapped to the Program URL in the Program Intake Sheet under Parent Project Selection column.
3. Checked the Program URL in the Project Intake Sheet to ensure the Program URL correctly references the Program Workspace.
4. Parent-Child Blueprint Relationship appears correctly configured in SCC.

Questions:

1. Am I missing a specific configuration step in SCC to ensure the child blueprint is triggered and deployed?
2. Is there a requirement or best practice for how the Program URL column should be mapped or referenced in SCC for child blueprint deployment?
3. Should there be any specific formula or setup in the Project Intake Sheet for the Parent Project Selection column to link the project correctly to the program workspace?
4. Are there any known issues with using URLs to reference Program Workspaces in SCC when deploying child blueprints?
