Control Center - New Fields Missing from Intake Summary Link Selection Option

Hi all,

I'm updating our control center blueprint to include some new fields and having trouble mapping these back to the intake sheet. Here's where I'm at:

  • I have created rows in our metadata sheet which pull from the project schedule.
  • I have created columns with the same names in both the intake sheet and summary sheet.
  • I have updated the blueprint to include these new fields in the profile data selection page.
  • I have run a test entry in the intake sheet and provisioned through Control Center.
    • The new fields are showing up and mapping properly in the summary sheet (linked to metadata as source), but still not mapping to the intake sheet.
    • I found where I believe these should be listed on the intake summary fields mapping section of the blueprint, but the fields I want are not listed here as available.
  • I have populated the intake sheet with data for all rows in these new fields to ensure this isn't being missed due to lack of source data (the intake sheet is listed as the source for these in the intake settings section of the blueprint with a one-time write event, which I'm expecting will be overwritten immediately after initiation when the summary field link is established).
  • I verified that the blueprint configuration is matched with other fields that were previously established and are functioning properly in write-back linkage from metadata to the intake sheet. The only gap here is that these old fields (current phase, start, finish) are listed on the intake summary fields section, whereas the new fields aren't available there. I believe this is my real issue but can't figure out how to inform that selection list.

ChatGPT hasn't been especially helpful, hoping someone here can help me diagnose this and close the gap here. Thanks in advance. Images of current config for clarity:

Closing the loop on this for anyone running into a similar question in the future. I contacted SS's help desk and walked through my setup. We were on the right track, the gating issue was that the values do not show up in the intake summary fields dropdown if they've been checked as profile data in the profile data selection tab of blueprint setup.

After deselecting them in that location, the fields became available to populate in the intake summary fields. This was not intuitive since the fields I have already working for intake sheet writeback links (start, finish, current phase) are selected on the profile data page, but are also shown as intake summary fields. We concluded that these were set up far enough back in time that the process may have changed since and these got grandfathered in.

Next steps for my application involved verifying that this worked on a new project through the provisioning process, and then creating these links for existing projects through the 'update reporting' function in active projects individually through CS. I'm researching now whether I can push the updated metadata template to existing projects, or if this needs to be manually configured for each legacy project before establishing the intake sheet reporting link via CS.

    Hi @Rob W.

You may need to select the Metadata template of your blueprint in the Primary Template box as shown below.

    Hope it works for you.

Thank you for the suggestion, but this doesn't appear to make any impact. The values available in this section are not changing when I populate the above primary template field with the metadata sheet. Whether this is blank or not, the values in the intake summary fields are the same, and align with the column headers in my intake sheet (although interestingly, not all columns, including ones that have been created with the same names as these desired new fields so that I would have a column to link these metadata values back to).

Just as an experiment, I'll try to remove one of those headers and see if that makes any difference, but I'd be surprised if NOT having a matching column header would suddenly allow the desired metadata sheet field names to show up.

    Thanks again for the idea.

What are the names of the new fields? Can you provide sceenshots of the Intake sheet, Metadata sheet showing the newly added fields
