Core App Certification Exam

Hi everyone,

I just took the exam and failed by 3 points. Does anyone have any advice on how to study/ prepare for the exam?

The breakdown in the scoring helps to some degree, but I have taken all of the Core App Solutions classes in Smartsheet and passed all of the exams that were with them.

I have also taken the practice exam many times. Any other advice?

I love working with Smartsheet and I do plan on trying again!

Hi Freda, I recently took the Core Product Certification exam and passed it. I think taking the mock tests will help you a lot. I practiced using the study materials available in Smartsheet and took the mock test — this itself is enough. Try to practice the questions you got wrong and take the mock test again. The questions you’ll mostly encounter are scenario-based and formulas, so make sure to practice those a lot. Let me know how much you score on the mock test and if there is any specific area where I can help you.

Hi Vinoth, Thank you for responding. I have taken the mock test until I made 100 on it. And all of the quizzes within the modules.

The exam doesn't tell you which ones you missed but it does give you a break down on where you scored. My lowest score @ 54% was formulas with the next lowest @67% being collaboration.

My plan is to go back and take those modules again and then search the internet for you tube videos on both of those.

I will try again in a few weeks! If you know of any training materials that focus on these areas, please let me know. I have taken Justin Orazio's full course, and it helped me tremendously, but apparently not enough to pass the exam.
