Dashboard Background Colouring Theme Limitations

Hey there,
Is there any way you can work on the theming widget for dashboards? It is extremely limiting and not very user friendly.
Major pain is when trying to set coloured backgrounds for widgets. It either all or some. Especially when you add in images or rich text some formatting of background colours don't work.
Would really love the simple addition of being about to choose the colour of your widget individually as opposed to only for the entire theme.
These small details are super important as they show how behind Smartsheet is in terms of aesthetics and UI compared with programs such as asana, notion etc.
More logical development please.
Thanks

Shared a dashboard with someone. The dashboard had the dark background theme and because the vertical scroll bar is a similar color, they weren't able to scroll down (they don't use a dedicated mouse with a scroll bar). Would be helpful to make the scroll bar more obvious on the dark themes

Smartsheet allows you to:
- Create custom themesΒ for dashboards, including setting canvas and widget colors.
- Apply these themes across dashboardsΒ by exporting/importingΒ
.json
Β theme files.
However,Β individual widget background customization is still limited:
- You can set a background color for widgets, butΒ this applies uniformly to all widgets of the same typeΒ (e.g., all metric widgets), not individually.
- There is no native support yet forΒ per-widget background colors or borders, which makes it difficult to visually separate or highlight specific widgets.
Some users have tried:
- UsingΒ images or rich text widgetsΒ with colored backgrounds as visual separators.
- CreatingΒ multiple dashboardsΒ with different themes and embedding them via web content widgets (a bit hacky and not ideal).
