Need help with complex workflow

Determining the most efficient workflow and automations for both OTTA and SME (Subject Matter Experts e.g. OPP/OCE/ODGA colleagues) evaluation of LinkedIn Learning materials.
β’ Two Smartsheets (1A and 1B) are feeding into the SME evaluation Smartsheet (2)
β’ In Smartsheet 2, we need the SMEs to:
o Self-assign a row for the LinkedIn Learning courses they want to evaluate
o See column information already present (from other sheets)
o Complete additional column information
ο§ View instructional information for each column
o Allow a second evaluation of the LinL course
o Automate their recommendations to another sheet {we currently have a workflow automation that moves rows to another sheet}
Our current workflow for Smartsheet 2:
β’ Uses an automation with an update request once SMEs self-assign
β’ Has multiple hidden columns (that automatically populate as a result of the automation workflow from the other sheets: 1A and 1B)
β’ Has an automation workflow to Smartsheet 3 based on field responses
We have not found a solution for the following:
β’ To have multiple self-assignees for each row
o If an update request form is sent to multiple people from the same row, does Smartsheet save both responses or overwrite?
β’ To have SME responses be added to current column information rather than replace it
β’ To provide column-based instructions in the update request
β’ Is there a way to automate that a full form (not update request) be sent to SMEs when they self-assign? This would allow us to have the full capabilities of a Smartsheet form.
What is a simple, elegant solution to give our SMEs a clear and focused way to fill out this information without them having to write paragraphs directly into the spreadsheet?

I would suggest replacing the third sheet with a row report that combines the first two sheets. I would also suggest a single row per person per course. You can sort and group reports to keep all entries for the same course together.

Thanks, Paul. I will see if this works and report back!
