Company Logo Issues with SmartSheet / White & Black

Since the change last year to the workspace panel, I have noticed a rather annoying change in how logos are managed and displayed. The default background to the workspace panel is light, so a dark logo is required. However, if your workspace uses a dark color for the side bar, this is also the default header for all forms, proof comments, etc. As a result, the black logo is barely visible.

Are there options to better manage this? If there is only ONE logo for an entire account, then the opportunity would be to allow customers to choose what logo is used for different scenarios etc… Because right now the current solution is not working.

Does anybody else notice this issue? If so, how do you manage it?

The TL;DR answer is "go talk to your system admins."

The more extensive and less flippant answer: "Branding and personalization" is a setting that can be managed by system admins. Default account color, default logo, and the ability to lock those settings down so they can or cannot be changed for individual workspaces are all individual settings. It sounds to me that the settings on your account are tightened down too far - perhaps you can work with your system admins. Screenshot the instances when the branding is tightened down so it's too dark, and see what options exist within your company's security policy.

I know that in my company's case, we work with several different clients so we allow for branding of individual workspaces separately. It works fine for us - but of course there isn't ONE setting (e.g. "Themes") that can be established to ensure that a specific logo is attached with a specific Hex/RGB color. We set up a sheet of vital workspace items - a list of individual assets (important if there are cross-sheet references to other workspaces, and to help with sharing inconsistencies). This sheet includes an attachment of client guidelines (primary, secondary, and tertiary RGB/hex/PMS codes; font usage; design specs; and other general branding guidelines). Unfortunately, the guardrails are either an all-or-none: if not locked down entirely, it's completely open.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the response - it Doesn't directly solve it, but it does highlight an issue I think SmartSheet needs to address at some point. If the default color schedule of a Workspace panel is light, this forces me to use a dark logo. And if I can only use a dark logo, then I am forced to use light colors for workspace colors.

Looking for confirmation that this is how it is intended by design. I can change the color on any workspace, but there is only one company logo. If it is black, as in our case, then all workspace colors have to work around that.
