Jira connector supporting

I'd tried to add the "file upload" filed to my Smartsheet form and map it to the "attachment" in Jira via the Smartsheet Jira connector but I saw that it is not possible…is this supported? do you know of another way to allow the user to upload files in Smartsheet so they will be improted to Jira within the ticket?

hi @mirmelsh,

if you send Smartsheet attachment to email for example you can see it's not sent as attachment in email but link to the file that is kept directly on smartsheet servers.

You can get such link that will take you directly to Amazon Cloud. I think you shall go into this direction of connecting files from smartsheet with Jira tickets.

Thanks ! I understand what you are suggesting and I like the approach but I don't know how to implement it…

I don't have any filed in Jira that support the "file upload" field in Smartsheet and I'm not sending any emails directly from Smartsheet I only use Smartsheet form to pass on the information to Jira and form then on all notification are done in Jira

so I do not think without some API configuration or third app support like Zapier will solve the problem of attachments not going from Smartsheet to Jira directly.
