Group and count from a different sheet

Hi Folks,

I'm working on creating a dashboard, and I'm having trouble compiling some data. I would like to show each department's label along with its totals broken down by year. The only shows FY23, but FY24 and FY25 are there as well. I'm trying to bring this into a new sheet. Is that an option and the best thing to do? For dashboard purposes I'd like to keep it in a sheet and not a report.

Thanks!

    hi @Kathy Y,

Would creating report and grouping by the FY solve your problem?

In report after grouping you can also set up counting so it will count for each FY how many subrows you have.

I was hoping to do it in a sheet so I could make a chart on a dashboard. If that can't happen then I guess a report would work.

@Kathy Y I definitely see why keeping this in a sheet would be nice, but I think that a Report is probably your best bet here!

The grouping feature will make this pretty easy to do in a report, whereas it would be pretty difficult to attempt to build this out in a sheet.
