formula with edit reference

I am unable to edit the reference in this formula that I have copied from a previous line. it is a continuation on the sheet from 2025 to 2026. this is the formula, I would like to change the CC AD Staffing to the new page for 2026. But when I try t change the 2026 reference (sheet) it changes the 2025 reference to an error and will not reference the 2026 page.

=VLOOKUP([Resource B]142, {CC AD Staffing 2025}, 4, false)

@clayton_2010 Have you tried just hand keying in the new formula for the cell? I find that copying and pasting formulas ties that formula to the cell you copied it from. So if you change the reference cell in the new cell you pasted to it will also go back and change the cell it was copied from.

I have tried that approach as well. It gives me an error that my reference sheet is not a valid smartsheet choice. Though the sheet is a new copy of the 2025 sheet with staffing edited for who is no longer with the company.
