Question about Formula

I am working on a request form, I had a link to an inventory sheet. Is there a way I could have the requested value turn a specific color if it is greater than the inventory value.? Also is there a way I could link a whole column to one cell in another sheet without having to individually do each cell?

You would probably need a helper column to pull in the inventory value, but this column could be hidden. Then use conditional formatting for the highlights.
For the second question, that is a probably. Without more information, it is hard to say exactly. My usual way of cheating the system is instead of using the linking, I start out by typing in the formula =Index( Then I use the reference another sheet and select that cell. Back in that formula, I then remove the Index( leaving just the = and the reference. This can then be made into a column formula.

If you want the highlight to be on the form, I do not know of a way to do that.
