Column to Column: Activating set values in a column

Hello,

I am trying to develop an inventory sheet for thousands of products. I have everything categorized under (8) main categories. Is it possible to have specific set of subcategories to populate in the next column (as a drop down option) depending on the parent category? I am trying to limit the number of options in the sub categories column to minimize mistakes.

@Pete Panos In Smartsheet native, no. You'd have to use another form option or interface like Appsheet to interact with the data.

We do have an add-on available for Smartsheet forms that could accomplish this. It works if you are using it internally as it requires a specific browser extension. Figured I'd mention it in case it works for you use case. Also, this works for form entries, but not if you are editing a row in the sheet itself.
