number of cross-sheet references has already been reached

Hi team,
I am getting error "number of cross-sheet references has already been reached" while adding formulas to a sheet (let's call it sheet B) that are using cross functional references referencing Sheet C. I am confused as I have another sheet (sheet A) with more references and I did not get the same error. Also if on sheet B I add a reference to sheet X instead of to sheet C, I don't get the error. Is the maximum number of cross-sheet references referring to sheet B (where I am using the reference in the formula) or to sheet C (the sheet I am referencing)? Can you let me know where I can look up the number of cross-sheet references? And is there a trick how to reduce that number?
Thanks
Judith

@Judith Pappler It will only delete the references from the sheet you are deleting them from.
So if I have a cross sheet reference on Sheet B pulling from a column in Sheet A and a cross sheet reference in Sheet C also pulling from that same column in Sheet A, and I use the Refernece Manager in Sheet B to delete it, the reference in Sheet C will still exist.

Hi @Judith Pappler, in any sheet you can right-click on any cell in the sheet and select "Manage Referencesβ¦"
Hope that helps!

Hi Adam,
thanks a lot! I see all kinds of references that were in the sheet originally but i have deleted those rows. If I now tick the references and say delete, will it only delete it from this sheet or will it delete it in general and then also from other sheets where I am using this reference?
Thanks
