Linking Columns of 2 Sheets to Feed into a 3rd

Hi There,

I believe this should be fairly simple, however the steps are lost on me.

In particular I am looking to take a single column from two seperate sheets and have them feed into a third. In this instance I am taking a Request Form (office supplies, multiple options from drop-down to cell) and an Inventory Form (cost of the supplies) and looking to feed them into a third form that will calculate the total cost of what people are requesting in real time. Would this be a data mesh?

Sorry if this is silly.

what about linking this way using cell linkingi Sheet One - Cell 1 goes to Sheet Destination Cell 1, Sheet Two - Cell 1 goes to Sheet Destination Cell 2. Now when you have both of those values in Destination Sheet in two cells you create formula to add those 2 values like =Cell1@row +" "+Cell2@row….

would this work?
