How to Restore Previous Version of SmartSheet

Hello,

I am trying to restore a previous version of a sheet that had a ton of data deleted from it.

I have already tried using the activity log to grab a pervious snapshot, but this does not do what I need it to. The excel sheet has all the data, but I cannot copy and paste it all back into the SmartSheet. Some information (such as the "Submitted Date" column, which I believe is our primary column) will not paste back.

Additionally, copying and pasting the data from excel does not bring back the files that were attached to each row.

I would like to fully go back to a previous version, NOT copy and paste the old data in.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

If you have backups switched on then you can download the backup for the week required or just access the data.

If you don't have backups…… I can't help but suggest switing them on asap

It sends you and email with a link to download Excel files and can be done at sheets or workapce levels as well as individual smartsheet.

Free of charge so no reason not to in my opinion

You may want to request a snapshot when you need a recent backup copy of an action on a sheet from a specific point in time.
