Were workspace sheet access csvs removed as an export option recently?

I am looking to export a CSV of Workspace Sheet Access that shows all the users and their roles in a workspace. Every few months we like to clean out the users in our workspaces, so I would run this report to analyze the users in excel against some of our company's headcount sheets. However, as of recently, I no longer have the option to pull this CSV down when I right click a workspace.

Is this a recent change, or is there some alternative way to get user access data into excel without being a System Admin?

I wanted to echo this concern — I also rely heavily on the Workspace Sheet Access CSV export to manage and audit user roles across our workspaces. Like you, I use this report to cross-reference with our headcount sheets and ensure access is appropriately maintained. Losing the ability to pull this report directly from the Workspace panel has created a real gap in our workflow.

If this is a recent change, it’s definitely affecting our ability to perform regular workspace cleanups efficiently. Not having System Admin access makes it even more challenging, as the Sheet Access Report in the Admin Center isn’t available to us.

Is there any alternative method available for non-admins to retrieve this kind of access data in bulk? If not, I’d like to advocate for bringing back the CSV export option or providing a new way for workspace owners to access this data without needing elevated permissions.

Hi @KPA,

I can confirm the “Download workspace sharing report” feature is no longer available, and only System Admins are able to download sheet access reports - workspace access can be viewed in the sharing modal but a report cannot be exported. See Share a workspace for more information.

Thank you Georgie. I will work with my System Admin on this then, is there a specific spot I can direct them to? I want to be able to specify where the report can be pulled on their end

To generate a sheet access report, a System Admin can take the following steps:

Sign in to Admin Center.
Select the Menu icon to expand the left sidebar, then navigate to Users and Groups > User Roles and Reports.
Select More Actions > Sheet Access.
Check their email. The report goes to the email associated with their Admin Center login.

Working with system admin is not feasible at our company as there are hundreds of workspaces created and maintained by hundreds of users and, system admin generating and distributing is not a feasible solution. Each owner/admin of the workspace should have the ability to generate this and work on it.
