Trying to send information from another website to the SmartSheet API

I have been trying to send information to Smartsheet through the API. I can get records to view, however, when I go to post a new record, I get a 200 Success message, but, no data was transferred. I have reviewed the API Documentation and I was testing on the 13th and noticed on the 16th a bunch of rows added that were not submitted by the standard Smartsheet Form we have created. It was also missing most of the data. But no records would show up in the Smartsheet on the 13th while testing.

It looks like it is creating a new row, but, nothing is being populated.

Not posting the top part of the script for security. This is what we are trying to populate:

Hi @Robert.Inglis!

In this case, I’d recommend a few steps to help narrow down the cause:

Check the Activity Log
Take a look at the Activity Log on your sheet. This will show you when rows were added or modified and may help you identify what happened with the missing or unexpected rows.
Review the bottom of your sheet
Sometimes rows added through the API (or even form submissions) can appear at the very bottom of the sheet instead of the top, so it’s worth scrolling down to confirm whether the rows are there.
Validate with Postman
Since you’re seeing a 200 Success response but no visible data, I recommend testing your API calls in Postman. This can help confirm whether the request itself is properly formatted. If your call works in Postman but not in your script, that will point to an issue in the code implementation.
Support Ticket
If you’ve already tested with Postman and confirmed you’re following the Smartsheet API Documentation, I’d suggest opening a Support Ticket. While Support can’t create or debug code for customers, they can review your grid logs and sometimes spot syntax issues or system behavior that might explain where the data went.
Help from Other Developers
If you’d like another set of eyes on your script, you can also post your code (with sensitive info removed) on StackOverflow under smartsheet-api. Other developers may be able to provide insight.
