No "reference another sheet" prompt

Hi All, I'm a noob, trying to do a basic vlookup (or match, don't care), but when I start the formula, there is no "Reference another sheet" prompt, as I see in every single help video. I've tried directly typing in the name of the sheet/table, but it's not producing.

=VLOOKUP([Contract Name]@row ,{List of Contracts},11,False)

This looked strange to me until I found this. Looks like you're in Table View, which doesn't support this yet.

In my view, sheets shouldn't be built in Table View currently as it has too many missing features. It's better and quicker in some cases for using pre-built sheets, but for building it just doesn't cut it right now.

Philip - I really thought I was going crazy. THANK YOU! Switched to grid view and all is right with the world. I'd already tried this to no avail, but this time also logged out and logged in again. Why would that matter? No idea. Pixies and poltergeists. But it worked.
