Our favorite time of the year is right around the corner. Smartsheet ENGAGE 2025 in Seattle will be THE place to be from November 5–7, and we'd love for you to join us.

What would I pack in my Suitcase Figuratively, or Literally?

My entire PMO Team first off. Still actively working on showing them the benefits of how amazing Smartsheet is and the value it can create for all of us.

Then, I have my notebooks, pens and highlighters. I am an old school person where I like to write my notes down, and highlight. Helps me to remember better!

Comfy shoes of course, but then also my laptop, favorite keyboard, and favorite mouse so I can (like @Mike Wilday) use the various solutions I've built to help others get things put together. Aside from that, my pens and a fresh notebook for all of the notes and connections.

Always comfortable shoes! Conferences include not just a lot of sitting, but a lot of walking and standing as well. And layers. You never know what the temps are going to be inside/outside.

For me I would pack all of my Smartsheet "gear" such as my Tumbler and T-shirt that I got back in 2023 and of course I cannot forget all of my buttons. Of course I would also have my Smartsheet Agenda all mapped out and on my calendar so that I don't miss anything!

I'd pack my new knees! I've been to other conferences over the years and the amount of walking used to cause me so much pain (osteoarthritis). I got both knees replaced two years ago, so I'm ready to explore all of the conference - and maybe even all of Seattle!

Pack walking shoes and all my Rocket books, because I take lots of notes, (old school also). Project data in my laptop to learn better ways of doing.

In my suitcase for ENGAGE, I will have an empty bag to carry back all the SmartSheet swag I envision being available!!! I come back from local user groups with tons of goodies, so I can only imagine the haul from ENGAGE requires it's very own carry-on!

Starting with the obvious, and everyone's top item - Comfortable (but clearly stylish) shoes.
I'd be a first timer, so I'd have to keep it simple - My laptop with my Smartsheet projects at the ready to showcase with others, share knowledge, and get tips on improving my own skillset.
Also - A notebook to jot literally EVERYTHING down, and honestly - ALL of my absolute and uninterrupted attention.
And maybe a snack. 🙂

My laptop, lap stand to hold it up during sessions, portable chargers, a second stomach so I can fit more of the Seattle cuisine in, lots of issues and to solve lists I can bring to the staff support, build ideas to figure out next steps with, my hugging arms for new and returning friends I've met/will meet at Engage, etc. 🤩

Easy! Coffee kit for my hotel room in case I wake up on Eastern time. Sweaters because its Seattle. Wait, it's November now… winter parkas? 3 pairs of shoes: sandals because I am California native, hiking shoes because you never know, and business shoes which I won't wear because I will realize how casual the smartsheet community is at the conference. Bible, toiletry kit, pants, shirts, and a backpack so I can haul around my work computer at the conference. And hopefully a love note and chocolate from my wife snuck into the bag… but maybe not…

I'd pack my laptop with all of my Smartsheet integrations so that I could best utilize the time spent networking and seeing how others use Smartsheet.

I would pack a list of ✨ideas I would want to explore at the conference ✨, my laptop, some knitting, my ipad mini with lots of books loaded on it, a cardigan, and a list of restaurants/coffee shops/bookstores to visit!
