Board View card order

We're running sprints every 2 weeks and have a lot of cards in each lane in Board view. I manually set each card in a particular order from top to bottom in each lane since there is no current Sort option.

Randomly, Smartsheet will re-order the cards! I can't figure out why they are getting re-ordered, what is causing it, or what criteria is being used to adjust the cards.

I update the cards frequently and no one else is moving them around in their accounts. Does anyone have any idea why this is occurring?

Hi DTPM,

I've experienced the same issue and noticed that the cards appear to be sorted by their Created date.

Check it at your side and let me know if it's correct.

Gia, thanks for your feedback. These cards are initially created in a form. I can see we have a Request Created Date system field, but no Created Date field. Is that a different field and, if so, how would I expose it. At present, the reordering does not appear to align with the Request Created Date system field.

You can manually add the Created column to your sheet as shown below. It's a system column.

In your case, it can be the Request Created Date column .
