I would like to see a critical path on a large project based on a release number. The critical path seems to be only available on a sheet basis. I can use a critical path filter that works great – but again works on a whole sheet.
I was thinking about using a Release Number filter and then copying just those rows to a new sheet. Then I would be able to do a critical path on that sheet – not sure if I would have problems with the predecessors in the copy mode.
The problem with this strategy is that I don’t want to do the copying every time I want to see the critical path for a release. Can you copy rows and maintain a link to the master sheet?
Is there a way to manage sheets separately and also combine them? I know you can do it as a report – but I want to be working with an active sheet (I have a two-way sync with Jira that provides a way to update in either Jira or Smartsheet).
