Escape Key - Functionality Change?

I feel like I am going crazy…

I just started a new job at a new company. Both companies use Smartsheet. I was an extremely experienced user at my old company, creating large, complex formulas that could automate a ton of work. (Smartsheet Core Product certified 2024)

At my old job, I would hit the escape key on my keyboard to essentially "exit" out of a cell without saving the changes to that cell. (For instance, when editing a formula that was previously in a cell, you could hit escape and the cell would just revert back to the previous formula.)

Now, when I hit the escape key, my entire sheet refreshes.

This has been super frustrating as I'm just trying to exit out of a cell and then my entire sheet starts over.

Is this a setting somewhere that I can change? Is this a company difference and this is just something I'll have to get used to? Is this a Smartsheet update (in which case, please PLEASE change it back)?

@LesGos , I had the same issue recently and found it was a browser problem not a Smartsheet issue. If I opened a new session of Chrome or used a different browser, I could press escape and it would exit the cell instead of refreshing the sheet. I believe I solved it by closing all instances of the browser and then going back to the sheet.
