Let me introduce you to Angela Breslau (@AngB789), not only our member spotlight this month, but an active Community Ambassador! She’ll also be at ENGAGE this year, and would love to meet you.
Angela is an IT Project Management Analyst at United Health Services and lives in New York, US. A major system transition in her department led her to first meet Smartsheet. They were using Microsoft Excel PM to manage projects, but it lacked necessary flexibility and automation features. “Smartsheet offered a more dynamic and collaborative platform, and it quickly became our go-to solution for streamlining project workflows and improving visibility across teams,” she says.
Today, Angela really enjoys using Smartsheet AI to help build and troubleshoot formulas, and has decreased the hours usually needed to create complex logic and test different configurations.
“My proudest project is the downtime procedure system I built, which ensures patients can still be seen across the organization during electronic health record outages. It’s a critical workflow that supports continuity and coordination. I’ve also created several one-stop shop solutions for end users, managers, and leads who function as project managers. These centralized hubs make it easier to access key resources, track progress, and manage tasks efficiently—all in one place.”
Moving forward, Angela is excited to keep moving forward with Smartsheet and evolving her skills, specifically in continuing to build solutions that support both internal IT and HR teams. One of the growth pathways she uses is Community, which she says has taught her how versatile Smartsheet can be. “Seeing how others approach challenges has helped me refine my own solutions and discover new ways to use features I thought I already knew,” she says. “The Community is full of generous, creative people, and it’s been a great space to grow and collaborate.”
As a Community Ambassador, Angela has taken the opportunity to share her journey with other members and the Smartsheet team, from learning the basics to building solutions that truly make a difference. “I love helping others discover what’s possible, especially when they’re just starting out or feeling stuck,” she says. “It’s been amazing to meet people who are just as excited about the platform as I am. It feels like a team I’m proud to be part of.”
When Angela isn’t helping others here or using Smartsheet AI to crush her goals, she stays active in her community in the real world as well. As a dancer with 13 years of experience across multiple disciplines, she currently teaches pre-dance and Level 1 classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical and Technique class. “I get to teach alongside my daughter, who’s now in her second year of dance,” Angela says. “Supporting her on a personal level has been incredibly special!” She also enjoys coaching little league soccer and cheering on her stepson, and likes to compete in local demolition derbies. “It’s a rush to legally smash cars into others for fun.”
