Our organization uses Smartsheet for project planning and tracking. We need the ability to link estimates from other sheets to the main tracker at the row level. Unfortunately, Table View doesn’t support cell linking, forcing us to switch to Grid View instead.
However, Grid View isn’t well-suited for our workflow, which involves multiple users collaborating on the same sheet. It often encounters “merge save” issues that can unexpectedly alter the sheet’s structure.
Why It Matters
Having live links to estimation sheets ensures that project tracker data stays accurate as estimates change at the source. Without this capability, our project data can quickly become outdated, leading to potential errors and costly decisions.
