Enterprise customers can now strengthen security for external collaboration with authenticator-app-based multi-factor authentication (MFA).
With this update, collaborators accessing shared Smartsheet assets will be prompted to verify their identity using trusted authenticator apps such as Microsoft or Google Authenticator — replacing weaker email-based passcodes with a more secure, phishing-resistant method.
Enterprise SysAdmins can enable authenticator-app MFA within the Require MFA policy today to ensure all external users meet enterprise-grade security standards when accessing shared content.
