The tab number in Excel is easily changed and seems unreliable. In my experience, when the tab number does change, there isn't a method for Data Shuttle to alert you of any issue. It's typically an end user that alerts me that some data appears outdated. Preventing file changes in Excel would be one counter measure, but locking down the file structure in Excel isn't always an option.
I would like to propose using the sheet name which typically does not change and would provide a more robust way to distinguish which sheet to connect to. Sheet names are visible in the Excel VB editor.
