I know a unique link is created with each approval request (example in image below). It would be nice if this link could be made available for reuse outside the approval email and it would enhance the cross-platform functionality for Smartsheet based solutions.
When links are created, they could be added as a new row in a separate sheet. This sheet would also have a Primary column that is the 'key' that links to the original data (example: project number). It would also populate the email the link was sent to and if the link is still active (approval decision is open/closed). These four columns would be enough information to provide a way to reuse the links outside of Smartsheet.
Use Case: I created a Power BI report that summarizes the open requests and the associated data. You can lookup (filter) your name and see your open approvals. I would use the available links to allow Power BI users to connect directly to their open approvals to action them. Today, the best I can do is take them to a form so they enter a request to send them the link again via email. I imagine this would enable similar functionality in a Smartsheet dashboard as well.
