Smartsheet is relaunching updates to our web login experience. These changes pertain only to the user login flow and do not affect authentication behavior, provisioning, or SSO settings. No action is needed – this refresh simply improves clarity and reduces friction during sign-in.
What's changing
- Updated visuals and a cleaner page layout
- A clearer step-by-step sign-in flow
- Your organization's most secure, relevant login option surfaced more prominently
Initial release and rollback
After releasing for the default (US) region on February 9th, the new experience enforced pre-existing domain-level SSO policies that caused some organizations — particularly those with strict SSO configured at the root domain level — to be locked out of Smartsheet. We rolled back to the prior login experience to immediately unblock affected users, and have since been working to validate the behavior, improve the handling of domain-level policy enforcement, and ensure the user-facing experience is clear when domain policies are in effect.
What to expect at relaunch
- The updated login experience will re-release for the default (US) region on Apr 6, 2026
- Organizations that experienced login disruptions during the initial rollout will not encounter the same issues — this update respects your existing login settings and maintains parity with your previous login policies.
- To avoid confusion or phishing concerns, we'll run an in-app banner for all active Smartsheet users, alerting them to these upcoming login changes

Starting April 6, 2026, you’ll notice an updated Smartsheet login page.
This change is expected and reflects improvements Smartsheet is making to simplify and streamline the sign-in experience. You’ll see updated visuals, a clearer step-by-step sign-in flow, and your most relevant login option surfaced more prominently.
This does not change how you sign in, your login settings, permissions, account access, or any of your Smartsheet data.
No action is required — we just wanted to give you a heads-up so you know the updated visuals are intentional and safe.
