Workaround for Assigning Two Random Task Owners/Multiple Auto Number Columns

Question

Hi. I am trying to randomly assign two different tasks within the same sheet, one person who will sign a form and one person who will create the IT ticket with the signed form. Each row in the sheet will be an individual form to be processed.

I have figured out how to assign the approver using an Auto Number column on the main sheet and referencing to a second sheet using the method described from here: https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/81780/random-assignation?tab=all…but I cannot figure out how to assign the ticketer using the same process as only one (1) Auto Number column is allowed.

Is there a workaround to do this? Is it possible to do the work on another set of sheets and copy the ticketer to the main sheet? I am a new Smartsheet user, will need step-by-step instructions please. Anything that works to accomplish the goal is great, do not know all the options. Thank you!

Hi, please see screenshots and additional details below.

This is the main sheet where I would like the reviewer/ticketer to be randomly assigned from the pool. "Row ID - Approver" is an Auto Number column; "Approver" column is auto-populated with the approver using the following formula:

=INDEX({Approvers Range 2}, MATCH(MOD([Row ID - Approver]@row , MAX({Approvers Range 1})) + 1, { Approvers Range 1}, 0))

This is the secondary sheet referenced in the formula above. "Row ID Lookup - Approver" column is Approvers Range 1 referenced in the formula; "Approver" column is Approvers Range 2 referenced in the formula.

I would like to be able to do the same thing for the Ticketer assignment…but cannot due to the maximum of only having one (1) Auto Number column allowable on the main sheet. Is there a workaround or another method to accomplish this goal? Thanks!
