I recently accessed my bank website and before I could use the site they had a feature that dimmed part of the screen to pull my attention to a certain area and that area included some text describing what that area could be used for. Once I clicked thru the acknowledgement prompt a few other areas were highlighted in a similar way. This was a basic feature I've seen before, but I was reminded of it when a user with access to my Smartsheet dashboard recently asked how to do something.
With the ability to require login for access to some features, it seems like it would be possible for Smartsheet to add a feature for developers to provide User Onboarding / Product Tours for the users the first time they access a tool such as a Dynamic View or Dashboard. It would also be nice if the users could revisit the Product Tour if they hadn't used the tool for some time and needed a refresher.
Adding this could provide a powerful way to help introduce new features or show new users around the features that developers have added.
