Dashboard widgets are currently mostly static. I can display counts and charts, but I cannot click into a specific part of a widget to drill into the underlying records.
It would be a big usability improvement if widgets supported interactive drill-down. For example:
- Click a bar segment (or stacked segment) to open the filtered list of rows behind that value
- Click a KPI number to open the corresponding filtered Report
- Optional cross-filtering across widgets (click one widget and have the dashboard filter others)
- Support for common workflows like “click red status segment and immediately see the list of items driving it”
This would bring dashboards closer to tools like Tableau or Power BI, while keeping Smartsheet as the system of record.
