Formula returning "2" suddenly, other cells, same formula not returning the "2"

Please see attached, formula has worked for a long time an typically pulls the data from another sheet as intended. I looked today and suddenly I have a "2" in a lot of the empty fields, and cannot figure out why. The formula I am using:

=IFERROR(IFERROR(INDEX({PERFECTION YARD CHECK RO #}, MATCH(VIN@row , {PERFECTION YARD CHECK VIN}, 0)), INDEX({Perfection Yard Delivered 2026 RO #}, MATCH(VIN@row , {Perfection Yard Delivered 2026 VIN}, 0))), "")

If there's no VIN, or no VIN on the reference sheet, this field should be blank as it is in other fields on the same column.

I have looked at the reference sheet(s) and I don't find any "2"'s…

Any suggestions ?

It would not be in the formula. It would be in your reference sheet(s). There is most likely going to be at least on row where the value you are matching on is blank and the column you are bringing in has a 2 in it.

Thanks so much ! I did find a hidden 2 on one of the reference sheets that should not have had anything to do with the matching, but somehow it was referencing that 2. I deleted it, saved it and refreshed the problem sheet. It's all working as it should be again..

When you check the other references sheets, are you 100% you see all the data? is there a filter on perhaps? otherwise I don't see how this would happen. Have you tried the serach function to double check?

Double check your source sheets. Apply a filter to show rows where the column you are matching on is blank.

Thank you for the reply, the thing that is throwing me, there should be no return of data unless there is a VIN, and now everything without a VIN is displaying the "2". It would almost need to be in the formula in order to display the 2 wouldn't it ?
