Control Center issue with cell links on summary sheet

I have an SCC blueprint with two summary sheets. We have several metadata fields, two of which are set up as cell links in the blueprint, the job number and job name.

That way, if the job number or name is updated on the intake sheet, it automatically updates on the project metadata sheet, which updates the summary sheets.

While we have no issues with cell links on the first summary sheet, 90 percent of the projects are set up with no cell links on the second summary sheet. I can manually go into the projects in control center and click "update reporting," and that adds the cell links, but that shouldn't be a necessary step.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, do you know of a way to resolve it?

A few things to check in Smartsheet Control Center:

Verify the second summary sheet is configured in the blueprint settings. If it was added later or modified, older blueprint settings may not apply correctly to new projects.

Confirm the columns match exactly between the project metadata sheet and the second summary sheet (same column name and type). If they differ, Control Center may skip creating the link.

Re-save or republish the blueprint configuration after confirming the mappings. Sometimes re-saving the reporting configuration resolves provisioning inconsistencies.

If it keeps happening, it’s worth opening a Smartsheet Support ticket—this behavior has occasionally been tied to backend provisioning issues.

Since Update Reporting consistently fixes it, that’s a strong sign the reporting mapping is correct but the initial provisioning step is intermittently skipping it, which support can investigate if it persists.
