Integration with Smartsheet Projects

Question

I have a process with which I create a project in Smartsheet, one of the sheets in my project is a resource sheet.  So I add the resource names and create a Resource Management project in RM for the project.

I would like to add a flag in Smartsheet that indicates (green) if I have an associated RM project or (red) if I do not.

I know this is possible with APIs, or manually adding a check box.  I'm curious if anyone has successfully done this.

It seems like a miss that I can create a RM project form SS, but there is no indicator available to me to use for this purpose.

Hello Gia,

Thank you for responding.  I do use Control Center and we did explore that option.  The problem was cost.  We need to purchase an additional RM license to accommodate that level of integration, and the cost was prohibitive for my organization.  That is the reason I was exploring a Plan B.

Hello Dan,

Are you using Smartsheet Control Center (SCC) -  an add-on for automated project provisioning?

SCC supports integration between RM and Smartsheet, and can automatically create an RM link in the Intake sheet for each project in RM, as shown below.

You can then use this RM link to indicate the associated RM project.
