HTML NOT WORKING ON FORMS

Question

Hi We have used the forms for over 12 months and once the form is filled in, the confirmation message used to show hyper links however since yesterday it just shows HTML code and nothing has changed, I have cheked the code is valid and it is ?? FORM SAVED SUCCESSFULLY TO CONTINUE ADDING MORE RETURNS CLICK HERE

Thanks for replying, these changes they make are so annoying !

These links I had used to show on the confirmation message, after the form has been submitted, thats where I used to have the html code if that makes sense

Yeah, Smartsheet forms still don’t support HTML in the description or help text fields. They strip everything except plain text and basic line breaks.

The only workaround that actually works is to keep it very short and simple, then add a separate “Instructions” section at the top of the form using multiple description fields with line breaks. Some people also put the detailed info in a linked PDF and add a short note with the download link.

It’s annoying, but that’s currently the cleanest way. Have you tried the multiple description trick yet?
