COUNTIFS Cross Sheet Error

Question

I have written these hundreds of times but for some reason I am missing something with this one. Simple, trying to count "Health" based on what we call Seq, in this case TSK. Building a metrics sheet for Dashboards. This formula is producing a Unparsable error and I cannot find the error.

=COUNTIFS({DSV 3PL Schedule Range 1}, Seq:Seq, "TSK", Health:Health, "Red")

@Linda Val - your formula is not setup correctly:

COUNTIFS(range1, criterion1, [range2, ​criterion2, ​...])

Not sure what this range is:  {DSV 3PL Schedule Range 1} but if it is in a metric sheet, it would potentially reference the SEQ column.

COUNTIFS(Seq:Seq, "TSK", Health:Health, "Red")

COUNTIFS({SEQ Range}, "TSK", {Health Range},"Red")

You've got an extra range.  The formula should look like this:

COUNTIFS(range1, criterion1, [range2, criterion2, ...])

=COUNTIFS({DSV 3PL Schedule Range 1}, Seq:Seq, "TSK", Health:Health, "Red")

the bold part is extra.  It almost looks like you were copying from a sumifs() formula instead:

SUMIFS(range, criterion_range1, criterion1, [criterion_range2, criterion2, ...])

Try deleting the bold part.
