To make dependent filters more user-friendly, it would help if they opened automatically when the parent custom field value was selected in the Filter panel. Currently, you choose the value of the parent custom field (ex: Product Type: A) and then have to search for and select the name of the dependent custom field (ex: Product A Names). This means that users need to know 1) the dependent field exists, and 2) the name to search for. Even if the name is fairly obvious, it's still a step that feels unnecessary. Configuration of a dependent field should ultimately make the search process more efficient rather than add more steps. (For the record, other DAMs do this much more intuitively!)
