Some of you even mentioned Smartsheet or the Community, and it really warmed my heart that we could play some part in that journey.

As I'm local to Minnesota right now, the dish that I'd want people visiting to try would be the Jucy Lucy, which is a burger that has the cheese stuffed inside the patty rather than on top of it.

The Jucy Lucy has a bit of contested history in Minnesota, as two separate bars both claim to have invented the unique burger (Matt's Bar & the 5-8 Club) stemming as far back as the 1950's. Over the years the Jucy Lucy has gained national fame as a quintessential Minnesota dish, having been featured on both Food Network and the Travel Channel, on shows like Man v. Food and Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, who himself is local to the Twin Cities.

So if you ever find yourself in and around Minneapolis, there are several places to get a Jucy Lucy, and it's well worth the try!

Imagine your Community friends are visiting. What is the single, must-try local dish you'd serve them and why?

Unfortunately, I live in a small city in California, and we are not known for any local foods specifically. My city / region is known for its heavily concentrated Agriculture Farms. With that being said, we have a lot of Farm to Table Restaurants here. Our fruit and vegetables are amazing, and ALMOST everyone has a fruit tree in their yards.

So, if you come to my city, let's go to any restaurant. Never received a complaint, yet!

My region is popular for Pepperoni Rolls, but (aside from a home cooked meal) I would recommend breakfast at a restaurant called Sissy's (ask for Steph). A small, family owned diner that has some really amazing food.

We also have a pretty good sushi spot surprisingly enough.

And for dinner… Anything from Bonnie's At the Red Byrd of Keedysville (ask for Ms. Georgia).

Oh! And seasonally a little ice cream stand called Udders that has the best soft-serve ever.

Maybe not a particular dish, and maybe not exactly local, but we Midwesterners take pride in my favorite fast food chain Culver's. Famous for Wisconsin cheese, fresh quality food and all around deliciousness, especially frozen custard! My go to is always a butterburger and crinkle-cut fries, with a scoop of vanilla custard for dessert!

That would have to be White Castle sliders. I have been to locations who have only had the frozen ones, but there is nothing like a plate of the real thing!

Living in the Philly area, people would probably expect my response to be Pat's or Geno's for a cheesesteak. Instead, I'd actually take someone to one of the local Amish restaurants in the area closer to Lancaster. The homemade food is SOOOOOO good!

I live in South Jersey, so I would have to go with either a pizza from Tacconelli's in Maple Shade or a steak sandwich from Donkey's Place in Mount Holly. It's not a traditional Philly cheesesteak, but it's just as delicious.

Toasted Ravioli from "The Hill". There are lot's of places to try it at, but my favorite is from Mama's on the Hill.

Hot Dish — because in Minnesota we don't "casserole." This Tater Tot Hot Dish layers protein, starch, and vegetables in a creamy soup base, finished with melted cheese and a golden tater-tot topping. Pictured here in the vintage bakeware passed down from my mom, it’s comforting, dependable, and perfect for warming a cold Minnesota evening…yummo!

As a French guy living in Austria right at the Bavarian border, there’s so much amazing food that I honestly can’t choose just one dish. But since that’s the challenge, I’d go for a full traditional menu:

Leberknödelsuppe – a comforting beef bouillon with liver dumplings
Käsespätzle with a mixed green salad
Kaiserschmarrn – served right in the middle of the table so everyone can share

We’d enjoy this meal on top of a mountain in a traditional Almhütte, and of course, it would all be accompanied by a proper Bavarian beer. 🍺✨

I live in Ho Chi Minh City, a place where you can experience flavors from all across Vietnam in one city.

If my Community friends were visiting, I’d definitely treat you to two must-try dishes:

1. Bún chả Hà Nội 🍜
Grilled pork, rice noodles, fresh herbs, and a light dipping sauce — simple ingredients, but the flavor is incredibly balanced and comforting. It’s one of the best representations of Northern Vietnamese cuisine.

2. Bánh mì Sài Gòn 🥖✨
This is the soul of Saigon street food — crispy baguette filled with meats, pickles, herbs, and sauces. It’s quick, flavorful, and honestly… dangerously addictive 😄

Together, these two dishes give you a taste of both Northern and Southern Vietnam in one meal — which perfectly reflects the diversity of food culture here.

If you ever visit Ho Chi Minh City, I’ll make sure you don’t miss them! 😋

If my Community friends were visiting Pakistan, the one must‑try dish I’d serve them would definitely be Biryani.

Biryani isn’t just food here—it’s an experience. The rich aroma of spiced basmati rice, tender meat, caramelized onions, and perfectly balanced masalas represents the heart of Pakistani cuisine. Every region adds its own twist, but the love for biryani is universal. Serving it to friends is my way of sharing our culture, hospitality, and the bold flavors Pakistan is proud of.
