Our team has recently deployed a Control Center and WorkApps solution for our department. We are currently in a pilot phase with several live client projects.
While enhancing our Blueprint and refine our WorkApp configurations, it's increasingly risky to test changes directly on our production Blueprint. We already experienced some minor disruptions to existing projects when modifying Dashboard and WorkApp role mappings, and we want to ensure the integrity of our live data as we scale.
Does Smartsheet offer a formal "Staging Environment" or "Sandbox" for Control Center, or any best practices for testing?
Specifically, I am looking for ways to:
- Modify WorkApp roles and page permissions safely.
- Troubleshoot "heavy" formula changes before pushing them to the production portfolio.
- Potentially test Global Updates without triggering errors in live projects.
I would love to hear how other organizations manage their "Dev vs. Production" lifecycle for large-scale Control Center deployments.
