Hello Product Team,
We've recently discovered that WorkApp Page links are unique to each Role.
Current Functionality
Main WorkApp Link - Anyone with access to the WorkApp, regardless of Role, can use this link and the appropriate Role and permissions will load based on their profile.
Page Link - Page links are unique to each role, meaning that if you click "Copy Link" on a Page, that link will always open the Page within the Role of the person that copied the link.
Problem
1) We use these links on image and shortcut widgets in dashboards so users can go directly to the Page they need. With the Role limitation, we need a separate link for each Page. Many of our users don't know their Role or even understand Roles or permissions in WorkApps and Smartsheet in general. This just causes confusion.
2) Our users don't know what Role other users are assigned to. If a user copies a Page link and sends it to another user that has a different Role, the link will error out even if that other user has access to the WorkApp. This also causes confusion, but also adds an element of mistrust in the system and process.
Solution
There should be ONE link for each Page in a WorkApp. Access and Role validation should be based on the profile of the person clicking the link, not limited by the link itself.
