Notification in Template
I created a notification and saved the sheet as a template. When using the template to create a new sheet, it retains the notification but not the email address in the notification.
I set the original sheet to use any email address but apparently that setting doesn't transfer to the new sheet.
Then I shared the workspace to the email address as a viewer, which means it is automatically shared to the sheet and it still doesn't work.
Am I doing something wrong or will it not work with templates to save an email address in a notification?

It doesn't save who is notified (the email address) for either template or Save As.

Make sure that you check the "Rule recipients and Alerts & Actions Permission Settings" under Notification & Sharing Options in the dialog window. (please see attached picture)

That should do the trick for you. But there have been several reported bugs with the Save As New feature and which reminders / notifications come across in the system. It could be a bug. But try it out and let us know if it worked or not.

It did work on the Save As New when I checked the recipients box.
We really need this to work with templates without having to check a recipient box. It's a template, it should contain everything.

I would submit this as a product enhancement request seeing as its not currently working that right way right now.
