When will we have the ability to VLOOKUP a value on another sheet? I link to a cell in another sheet now when the location is static....but in this situation the value is not in a certain cell.
Hi Joe,
We're planning to release cross-sheet formulas in the first quarter of this year.
In the meantime, as a workaround you could cell link the entire table from the other sheet (using Copy --> Right Click: Paste Special --> Links to Copied Cells), then use LOOKUP as a same-sheet formula.
Best regards,
Daniel
I just noticed they've added this vlookup function to look at other sheets, yet i still have to figure it out how it works
You can now reference data from other sheets in formulas!
Create a master lookup table sheet and use VLOOKUP to find data on another sheet.

THANK YOU so much for adding this functionality to SmartSheet!!
I am trying to use VLOOKUP to another sheet on a CONTACT column-type. However, SmartSheet is not letting me enter the formula in the column when the column is a CONTACT type. I tried changing the column to a TEXT/NUMBER column-type, which appeared to work initially. However, when I pulled reporting based on the CONTACT criteria (i.e.: Designer=Jenny), the report is not working correctly and cannot 'see' any contact in that VLOOKUP column. What's the recommended workaround for this, and when will this issue be fixed? Thank you.
Hi Caroline,
Currently, formulas aren't allowed in Contact list columns and there currently isn't a workaround to allow formulas in Contact list columns.

Anyway we can make this view only for security purposes? We would like to prevent users from sending responses to other users by accident.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my current Smartsheet experience. I have paid for a Pro subscription, I am the owner and administrator of my account and sheets, and I have confirmed I am logged into the correct account. Despite this, Smartsheet is not recognizing my Pro subscription, and I am unable to…
