Hello,
Can we make a border line?
Thank you.
No, Smartsheets does not have border formatting. It is recommended that you change the background color of the cells you want to stand out. Using a gray color you can make the cells appear grouped and separate from the rest.
This idea is fine, as long as you're not using the color commands of the conditional formatting function at all. It would be more user-friendly to have more options for formatting sections of a sheet.
Hi,
In some client solutions, I have used specific columns as dividers to make it easier to work separate sections. E.g., Div1, Div2, Div3.
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
I hope this helps you!
Have a fantastic weekend!

No update to ability to better format column heading, format borders, etc. I really want to use SmartSheet but seems so limited in some ways compared to free products like Google Sheets......
Any update on adding borders? Coloring does not suite me, because of conditional formatting.
I can't believe this is still something SmartSheets cannot accomplish. Why did I buy this again?
Why is this still not a feature? Seems like a simple and common sense thing to add.
Archaic
How is this still not a feature? I know absolutely nothing about coding or programming, but this just seems like such an easy feature to create that would be way more beneficial, using colored cells will compromise conditional formatting. Does anyone know if this feature is coming or available for more money?
Any chance someone at Smartsheets could code for this? I think everyone using smartsheets would greatly benefit from it!
Chiming in to request this feature. Hard to believe such a simple function isn't available.
Let me add my name to the LOOOOOOONG line of people wanting this feature. Come on guys/gals, please!
This is so weird, no, I don't want to change the fill color instead, I want border options...
also will add my name to this list. would be really usefull.
Happy 2024! I am still looking forward to see the Border options happening in the Smartsheet.
How do I set a form logic to exclude weekend in such a way that when the Date Created falls on a Friday and the Date Required is on Monday (next week) that it will show a hidden text field (to justify the urgency)?
We do not own Control Center. What is the best practice for archiving projects?
Hi all, Here's a quick description of my set-up. We're collecting project progress updates via workflow automations. These forms get sent to various people and the main 'ask' is for them to fill in a free text entry called 'latest update' field. These entries then appear in the 'latest update' field on the main sheet. This…
