I have a smartsheet with one column not filtering. It does consist of numbers (i.e. 1.750, 21.875, etc) so I tried entering the entire number, but still no luck.

Your numbers might be treated as text, which would make them hard to filter. One way to spot this behavior is if you see different alignment (example image attached).
Numbers are typically right justified, whereas text is typically left justified.
You'll also want to double-click your column header to make sure it's a Text/Number column.
Otherwise, your filter criteria might need some work. If the above doesn't help, you're welcome to reply back with a screenshot of the filter criteria you're using and I can further advise.
