Counting Number Rows Between Certain Dates

Hi,

I'm looking for a formula which will give me the total number rows for a certain date range on my master job list so I can put it on summary sheet.

For example, I want to count the number of rows which have dates between 01/01/2017 and 01/31/17, so this will tell me how many jobs have been opened within that date range.

I've looked for hours on the community but nothing seems to make sense or work.

=COUNTIF([Start Date]:[Start Date], AND(@cell >= DATE(2017, 1, 1), @cell <= DATE(2017, 1, 31)))

What about using CountIfs? https://help.smartsheet.com/function/countifs

Also, I noticed that your use of date isn't correct. Date uses Year, Month, Day in the parentheses. https://help.smartsheet.com/function/date

=countifs({2017 Master Job List Range 1},<=Date(2017,01,31),{2017 Master Job List Range 1}, >=Date(2017,01,01))

See if this works for you.
