I have created a Dashboard that I've now shared with a customer, is there a way to send a link to the that customer as a reoccurring email or as and when anything changes on the dashboard?
Si,
Not at this time and on the product feature enhancement list. Thanks for your feedback and vote on this feature.
Sasan
Thank you Sasan.
Adding my vote. The dashboards are a fantastic feature for making data digestible and actionable, but the users still need to "pull" them. The ability to send dashboards out in pdf format like reports and sheets would greatly assist in early user adoption.
Glad it's on the list.
Thank you.
Si / Sasan, here is a possible work-around. If at least least one underlying sheet gets updated frequently, you can create an alert from that sheet to trigger a scheduled message that contains the link to the dashboard. Set an alert for example if "any row is added, updated or deleted". Then you schedule the alert to send, say weekly. Paste the URL for your dashboard into the alert message and you're off to the races. As long as the sheet changes, the alert message with the dashboard link will be sent on schedule. Hope this is helpful.
you know what, that could work. Good thinking, Thanks.
Great solution/workaround.
I also do this regularly with forms.
Best,

fmazella,
Great alternative solution!
This should have been a standard feauture at the roll-out. Anyone high level is not going to want to login to smartsheet to see them. They want it in their face in their email and/or only be notified about certain changes within them.
Please get it going ASAP, I'm growing tired of having to come up with or find workarounds for features that should be standard.

I concur, my high level VP's expect automation.
I just had a very similar request, but slightly different that makes a lot of sense. The question that I got was "Can we do a notification sent to all users shared to a dashboard when that dashboard is updated?" The work-around above may capture when the changes are made, however, it won't automatically send it to all users shared to that dashboard. This would particularly impact a dashboard shared with many users...or one that is dynamic. So my enhancement request would be to allow notifications be driven from the dashboard side and be allowed to send to all shared. Sounds like an enhancement request.
Same as above. Notifications should be available when the Dashboard is updated.
I went through and setup the alerts like it was suggested above and then found out they go out very early Friday morning. We do not update our posting data to Smartsheet until later on Fridays, so the alert will not get triggered until next Friday and our dashboard data is a week old and not as up-to-date as the real-time reporting (not visual) from our own proprietary systems. We have approximately 80 Dashboards we need to send out automatically each week (preferably Mondays) and the work-around solution works, but the timing eliminates us from using this option.
Hi Chuck,
This was released a few days ago but since got pulled back so I think it will be back soon again.
Conditional reminders are here! Shaine Greenwood says:
Yesterday, we added new features to Smartsheet, including reminders that you can send conditionally. You can even configure the time of day that you'd prefer the reminder to be sent!
Another option would be to have a formula set up that would trigger the alerts to be sent.
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

I think Smarthseet is doing a fabulous job, your solution has transformed the way my team and I work.
Nevertheless, I fully support the above mentioned requests. Makes perfect sense, this way mangement and stakeholders get automatic updates.

Pedro
Hello, I'm seeing this error for the first time as I expand some capability in an existing workflow. Here's how this section with the error works. Scenario: a user puts in a request on the form with a check box indicating they will later upload the required file attachment. Automation sends a request for Approval with…
I have a task that started in Sept and ends in Feb. I need to assign it to someone else, but do not want to lose the history of the first employee. How do I do this?
Starting a couple of days ago, I started getting 2 or more emails a day about my account being activated. I have a monthly subscription but have never received this type of email from Smartsheet. The email looks legitimate - the sender is "reply_to@Smartsheet .com" - except for maybe the greeting, which is "Dear Customer".…
