Coping cells

Mal Brown
โญโญ
I copied the contents of a cell and pasted the copy to another cell. The original cell now has a moving dotted line around it. Why, and how do I get rid of the moving dots?

The cell, or area, you copied has the moving dashes around it to simply show what was copied. After you finish pasting it, it will disappear if you hit the Excape key or do something else in another cell.
