Coping cells

I copied the contents of a cell and pasted the copy to another cell. The original cell now has a moving dotted line around it. Why, and how do I get rid of the moving dots?

Hi, Mal.
The moving dotted line around the cell simply indicates the cell has been acted upon with the copy function. Once the copied cell is pasted into another cell, the original cell sometimes remains highlighted with the moving dots. This may simply be a bug, however, double-clicking on any other cell should remove the moving dots.

Great, thank you.

The "moving ants" are thete to tell you that the content has been coppied to the clipboard and as long as the cell or cells still have them you can paste, thus allowing multiple pastes. If you want to empty the clipboard and thus remove them press the escape key.
