Update Requests

Is there anyway to send an update request for a particular row in which the email does not include hidden columns?

My sheet that is shared has hidden columns that are locked for Editors, by using the send request the editor can now see the hidden information.

Here is a work around, it will not work for everybody but some people may find it useful.

Create 2 identical sheets, except for the hidden columns. These should only be in one.

Link the sheets using Linked cells from the Sheet without the Hidden columns to the Sheet with the Hidden columns. Use the First sheet as the User sheet and the other as the admin sheet. Send updates from the Usersheet without the hidden cells.

Not Ideal but could be useful in some situations.

Ian - hidden columns are not included in update requests as long as the column is hidden in the sheet when the user views the update request. The columns they see will be the same as they are in the sheet at the time of the most recent save.
