Tracking Hours in a Day

Hello Fellow Smartsheet Users,

I am looking to track hours in a day to maximize bandwidth per employee (OCR Racing & Building Obstacles). Unfortunately, Smartsheet doesn't have the ability to track hours in a day and to accurately display this in a Gantt Chart so I am looking for recommendations/tips, best practices, etc.

Are there any work-arounds to accomplishing this in Smartsheet? I am hoping I don't need to use another platform to analyze this information. Any insight is appreciated!

Im not sure that I understand what you're looking for. Are you looking to have tasks listed in hours versus days? If so, just enter your duration as hours. A three hour duration is 3h. A three day duration is 3d.

Is that what you were looking for?

Thanks Jamie - correct, I am just looking to track hours versus days, but I am not sure a Gantt Chart will accurately display hours.

The Gantt chart on the desktop app only shows down to partial days but the Gantt chart on the mobile app can zoom down to show hours.

Greg - that is interesting. I have the Mobile App & still unable to zoom down to hours. Do you recommend how to accomplish this?

There must be a setting somewhere. I only see days on the GAntt chart as well. I fI go to project settings, I can select the proimary and secondary timeline displays but the smallest setting available is day.

Candice, pinch to zoom in (just like you do with pictures). Here is a screenshot of me zoomed in to diplay hours:

Jamie - it sounds like you are on the desktop app. We are referring to the mobile app (iOS or Android)

I wish they had this for the desktop version!
