Release announcements?

I got the popup window in the app this morning announcing the new interface but I had to close it right away because I was showing my screen in a meeting. Now I've come to the website and I can't find a single announcement, blog post, or anything that gives detail about using the new feature. Why would you launch a release and not also the same day post a new announcement in a prominent location for everyone to see on the website? Is there a page I'm just not seeing?

Hi Yarrina,

 

Email was sent out a 1month and 1 week intervals to all admins and high activity users, Last week a message was sent out to all users active in the last 90 days. The mail contained a link to an educational dashboard. Here is the link.

There is also a green bar across the top of the page that says, "This week we'll replace Smartsheet tabs with a new recents list, easier bookmarking, and direct links to your work. Learn about the changes."

Besides all the notifications we've received, this one has been on the screen for at least this week.

I have been in business a long time and have never seen an excuse like this, and i have seen them all.

I got no emails (despite requesting to be added to the enhancements distro a few times) and I had no banner on my screen until just today. Other users in my company I've spoken to say the same. I'm in the EAP program - I wonder if that affected whether I saw a banner or not?
